Rescue Amazonian Rainforest

Dr. Michael Curth

(former professional life with advisory boards, management boards and top management consultants) decided within the last couple of years for a complete change of his personal situation. This concentration on new values and priorities led to his new project “Rescue Amazonian Rainforest”.

With love and respect for the country Peru and its nature – and the clear view on the significant development needs.

In November 2012 he was appointed to the board of trustees of WWF Germany (World Wide Fund).
He not only likes to share his impressions of the Amazon region and his enthusiasm for the project, but also hopes to get to know caring and active people, who can support the project and make the conservation of the Amazon region sustainable and lasting.

Magdalena Ruiz Ruiz

studied publicity in Barcelona, after which she started a series of trips abroad with a view to follow a professional career in publicity. After turning down a job offer in a big publicity agency in Atlanta, she realized that her true journey was one of return to nature.

She spent some years working in Cusco/Peru, focusing on children care. During that time, she visited the Amazon in the Manu Biosphere Reserve and, since then, she has been devoting all her efforts to this ecosystem which seemed to meet her expectations in life. So she acquired 190 hectares in the Amazonian Rainforest with the view to establish a conservation and preservation reserve in the Biosphere Reserve of Manu. Until now, more than 3000 trees have been planted in the Reserve.

Since 2011, Magdalena Ruiz along with Michael Curth have started a new challenge that is already coming true, devoted to protect large Amazonian forests. This is a cry of hope for those who believe that the earth is alive and that it is urging us to act with all our body and soul in harmony and love towards our mother earth.
